As one of the UK’s largest suppliers of steel plate and profiles, and structural steel we are committed to a programme of continuous investment to ensure we are able to provide the best quality service and product to our customers.
Part of this commitment has included investment in our Middlesbrough site which has seen significant development focused on bringing all of the company’s processing and profiling capabilities under the same roof.
Creating a single ‘centre of excellence’ has allowed us to improve logistics, response and service levels for our customers through an increased level of production and economies of scale. For the first time, orders that require our full range of processes will now be dispatched in a single delivery. By streamlining our internal process we have increased efficiency, without compromising on the quality of our products or services.”
The restructured Middlesbrough site now houses all the company’s high performance processing machinery, which offer an extensive range of steel processing capabilities.
Serviced by a 30t crane, our versatile plate processing station - THOR - provides advanced capabilities in milling, drilling, tapping, countersinking and bevelling, combining high performance thermal and mechanical cutting.
Our state-of-the-art steel plate cutting operation provides plasma cutting, gas cutting, CNC drilling and a radial arm saw, which can achieve a variety of lengths and thicknesses to tight tolerances. Steel plate can be pre-cut for handling, or to the precise size required for clients’ specifications. We can also profile up to 24 metres in length, 5 metres wide and 400mm in thickness - with infinite rotation and a wide variety of bevel angles accessible.
